Nature, Beauty and Memories

I have been interested in photography for a few years. I think photography is a way to capture great family memories, document events, and creative expression. A professional photographer said the thing she enjoys most about photography is capturing beauty to share with others and prepping for photoshoots such as set up, props and sketching out ideas. She loves to take many different shoots for different reasons. Mainly artsy photos related to kids, couples, weddings, portraits. Out of those types of photos she said that
kids and weddings are the easiest in her opining because they just naturally happen. It helps her to express herself, put images that speak where she can’t put words, and help others to see things. Photojournalism can really change society.

This is an EZIne that is filled with information about basic
necessary photography equipment, how to review a photograph, and some fantastic tips on how to take amazing group shots. Having the skill of taking pictures is an amazing talent to have, not everyone has an eye for pictures. As you learn some basic skills, you may discover that you have that special talent as well.

How to Review a Photograph

You first need to categorize your photograph. Is it action, night, day, portrait and nature? There are many more categories, but those are some of the common ones.

Then you need to look at the lighting in the picture. Was the photograph too bright or was it too dark? Did you use the right type of lighting for the photograph?
Make sure your subject is clear in the photograph. You don’t what people to have to try and guess what the subject is. Is it that colourful ball, or the person by the tree? Then look and see if there is anything that is unnecessarily in the photograph that might distract others for the main subject. Is there something in the background that moves you away from the subject?

Now see if there were any techniques that were used to make the subject stand out more. Was the subject moving or standing still? Did the subject suit the choice of background?
The last step for review a photograph is to make your own personal opinion. Do you like the way the picture turned out? Should you have gone for a different approach?
